What is PC-CARE Parent Coaching?
PC-CARE is a 7 week parenting program to help you connect and play healthily with your child. PC-CARE is for any caregiver who wants to promote healthy parenting communication and encourage healthy and safe toddler behaviors.
I love working with parents (yes, it’s great to have all parents involved!) who want to learn how to implement play, rules and impact in a loving way. My sweet spot is working with kiddos 2.5 - 5 years old though I am happy to work with older kiddos on a case by case basis.

Each week the caregiver and child attend a 1 hour session for a total of 7 weeks (including 1 pre-treatment assessment and behavior observation and 6 weeks of dyadic and coaching sessions). An 8th, one-month out follow-up session is also recommended.
During each hour long session the provider checks in with the family, uses a brief child behavior screener to address behaviors in the past week, does a 10 minute didactic of new skills, and then coaches the caregiver for 30 minutes live in the moment to use the new skills during play with the child.
At the end of the session the provider assigns “Daily CARE” to the caregiver to use the skills during play with the child for 5 minutes every day. (Source)

Emotions are hard - especially when you’re experiencing them for the first time.
That’s where PC-CARE steps in. PC-CARE supports overwhelmed parents who want to learn how to better support their child’s big emotions and behaviors. PC-CARE relies on positive relationship building and specific parent language skills to teach boundaries and support both the child and parent through stress.
Caregivers need to be willing to spend five minutes in play with their child on a daily basis.
Caregivers should have custody of the child, or have at least regular contact (e.g., foster, adoptive, relative, reunited parent that has at least supervised visits).
Though this program shows evidence for a range of age and behavioral subsets, Logan specializes in working with young children (todder to 5 years old).
If you’d like support around specific diagnosis, like feeding issues, sexual behavior issues, ASD and IDD, etc., older children or in Spanish-language - please visit the PC-CARE or PCIT directory here.

Parents are able to request follow-up sessions or repeat sessions as needed. A one-month follow-up session is recommended as standard of care.

“Results of analyses pre- to post-intervention scores showed significant improvements in child behavioral problems as well as improvements in parenting stress and positive parenting skills.” (Source)
“Not only did children’s behaviors improve with PCCARE, but, as hypothesized, caregivers also demonstrated improvements in their positive communication skills and reported less parenting stress after completing treatment.” (Source)

PC-CARE can be purchased per session at a rate of $200 per hour, or as a discounted package: 7 sessions for $1,300. Availability is organized between client and coach, though weekly pacing is recommended.
Coaching is not therapy. Because coaching is focused on building parent-skills and implementation, no mental health diagnosis is given. This means that coaching is not reimbursable by insurance. If you would like a formal diagnosis or space for emotional processing for you or your child, coach Logan may refer you for follow-up support. This coaching is specifically designed to build communication and implementation skills between you and your child around routines, big emotions and behavioral reconciliation.
I provide parent coaching and can provide attendance verification and a completion letter when appropriate. I do not perform custody evaluations, make recommendations to the court, or provide expert testimony. If the court requires those services, you'll need a professional who offers court-appointed or forensic services.
